XtraLight announces seven new products dedicated to wildlife conservation.
(Florida Red-Bellied Turtle)
Year after year, more and more people of varying demographics, education, and cultures are becoming aware of our impact on wildlife conservation. New studies suggest that certain species of animals are dying at rates up to 1,000 times faster than normal, and by mid-century we will have lost over thirty to fifty percent of our current species. The United States National Wildlife Federation has identified "invasive species, diseases, pollution, and a warming climate as all being major culprits". Now, companies from many different industries are trying to learn how they can do their part.
With a majority of our installations located throughout southern-coastal regions, XtraLight is familiar with wet-land and bayou type eco-systems. Over the past three-months, we have continued working in cooperation with the FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) to certify our products for ecologically sensitive areas. These applications may include: sea turtle nesting beaches, dark-sky friendly communities, and migratory corridors, and the certifications require spectral output(s) above 560 nano-meters, direct downward lighting, FWC sea turtle lighting assistance, and re-certification every two-years in compliance with the State of Florida:
- Viento Area & Site LED Luminaires (VNT-L, VNT-M, VNT-S):
Certification(s) | #2019-115, #2019-116, #2019-117. - Garage LED Luminaire (GLLM): Certification #2019-114.
- Viento LED Wall Pack (VNT-W): Certification #2019-118.
- Vapor Tight Enclosure (VTE): Certification #2019-119.
- Vapor Tight High-Bay (VTH) : Certification #2019-120.
